This pattern is for a knitted and felted humpback whale, which will measure approximately 20” long. It uses one skein each of Patons Classic Wool in 1) Dark Grey Mix and 2) Aran or Light Grey Mix.  You will also need straight and double point size 9 knitting needles, polyester fiberfill and two 12mm safety eyes. Gauge is not critical but your knitting should be loose to allow for felting. Other yarns may be used but please knit and felt a test swatch first.

Pattern is for intermediate knitters and assumes knowledge of the following techniques: knit (k), purl (p), increase (inc), decrease/knit 2 together, and ability to follow a two color knitting chart. Some experience in soft toy construction is helpful but not necessary.
